EE correlations identify learner outcomes, objectives, benchmarks, and/or essential skills within state content standards, which also meet the goals and objectives of EE. Correlations projects compare state content standards with EE curriculum. Please help us add to this resource list by suggesting a link below.
The PA Department of Education approved curriculum standards for the Environment and Ecology in January 2002. These components incorporate the disciplines of ecology, resource management, agriculture diversity, government and the impact of human actions on natural systems.

If you are an Environmental Education organization like a zoo or a nature center, you may provide excellent environmental education opportunities for teachers. But with the push for accountability to the California State Standards, teachers will bypass your program if you do not correlate what you PROVIDE to what they NEED! It is imperative that you become familiar with these Standards.
