Facing the Future    
Facing the Future is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to engage students in learning by making academics relevant to their lives. We empower students to think critically, develop a global perspective, and participate in positive solutions for a sustainable future. Facing the Future develops and delivers standards-based hands-on lessons, student textbooks, curriculum units, and professional development opportunities for educators that promote critical thinking on global issues, sustainability, and positive solutions. The website offers information, resources, and lesson plans about issues such as population, environment, climate change, ecological footprint, consumption, and sustainable development.

A Critical Decision Creative Challenge

The site contains a large, annotated database of population and environment related links (inlcuding syllabi), hosts cyberseminars, produces a bi-weekly What's New with publications of note, has a searchable memberdatabase with our 500 members from around the world. Would definately be useful for teachers in high school, and for high-school students.
