Education for Sustainability (EFS) Institute ~ Vermont

EFS calls on us to help students understand the connection between the environmental integrity, economic vitality, and social well-being of the planet. Living Machine Education Program    
The "Living Machine"in South Burlington, Vermont is an alternative wastewater treatment system modeled after natural processes. Curricula, teachers' packets and activities relating to sustainable development and ecological design.

Institute for Social Ecology, VT      
An independent institution of higher education dedicated to the study of social ecology. ISE offers intensive summer programs, a year-round B.A. degree program, workshops on issues such as biotechnology, fall and winter lecture series, internship opportunities, and a speakers bureau.

Hazen's Notch Association    
A non-profit conservation, environmental education and recreation organization - the HNA offers schools (K-12) and other groups environmental education programs year-round, a summer ecology camp for children ages 6-15, and 40 miles of trails on 2,500 acres of private conservation land for hiking, cross-country skiing & snowshoeing.
