- General Mission
- Plains Conservation Center, comprised of over 1900 acres of mixed-grass prairie, is a refuge for the plant and wildlife species of the native grasslands of eastern Colorado. The Center provides a unique setting for enrichment of science and history curriculum. Programs give first-hand experiences of pioneers living in a sod village, Plains Indians in Cheyenne tipis, and of natural history in an outdoor classroom. Programs are also presented in schools.
